12 life lessons games have taught us

As a past gamer of World of Warcraft, I still contuine to enjoy trying different games

& reading random computer reviews on games.

However, this caught my eye today when I was browsing MSN

& I must agree with it. We do learn things from games...

well, I do.

When I was playing 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire' on the Playstation 2 with my brother.

There were questions that popped up, that I had knew, only from playing a game.

Games have a lot of wisdom to share with us, lessons that might be put to use in our everyday lives.

Sometimes these lessons are practical (the value of teamwork), others metaphorical (your princess is in another castle) and some highly literal (don’t hide behind explosive barrels).

To those who question the educational value of games, we say consider these valuable life lessons games have taught us.

Breakfast in Bed.....

Yesterday, I made some small biscuits

for Nessie to eat. She was surprised

because she could smell the food &

came out searching for it in her cage.

** Sniff Sniff..... **

"I can smell something nice Myst" said Nessie

"Oh, I found it. It looks tasty!" - Nessie

"Breafast in bed, this is more like it" said Nessie

"Enjoying it Nessie?" asked Myst

"Definitely!" - Nessie

**Yawn**

"All this food is making me sl..eep..y.... (yawn)" said Nessie

New Planetariums for Nessie

On Sunday, we had been very busy & we went to a carboot sale.

This was my first car boot sale that I've ever been too.

When we was there, we saw this Rotastak cage for sale

so we brought for a really cheap price. And it was

in a good condition.

Then yesterday (Monday), I spent most of the afternoon

cleaning it. It needed a wash, so I gave it a:

1) Washing up liquid wash

2) A water bath wash

3) A disinfectant bath wash (Soaking it in diluted Dettol)
4) Soaking it in a final water bath wash

5) DONE!

Here is the final reconstruction of it together after an hour's work of it.

Nessie always like to make sure she is beautiful

before she goes out to have some fun.

"I'm nearly done, give me 10 mins Myst" said Nessie

"Okay, I'm ready. What are we doing tonight?" - Nessie

"We are going on a trip Nessie" replied Myst

"Cool, where does this go?" said Nessie

Looks like Nessie is having a lot of fun tonight.

Miss Grumpy...

During the night, everyone likes to have

a good night's sleep without being disturbed.

So in Nessie's sleep time, she doesn't want

to be woken up by....anything.

And if she is then we know she will be...

Grumpy!

"Can't you see I'm trying to have my beauty sleep?" said Nessie

"Opps! Sorry Nessie." replied Myst

Scrat from Ice Age 3

Tired but still having fun...

Today the weather has been very humid.

One minute its super hot, next its cloudy.

And today, Nessie has been very tired

and decided to have a nap when I took

her out to play.

"Yawn, just a little nap please?"

"Ok, I'll be really quiet for you Nessie" replied Myst

Now Nessie has a piece of Pine Nut hidden within

the ice cube & her only way to get it out was...

yep, to chip it out with her teeth.

This was refreshing for her on a hot sunny day

as well something fun to do!

"Can I shake it out Myst?" said Nessie

"No, because that's cheating" - Myst

"Ok, I think I got a bit of it" - Nessie

Doesn't she look like that squirrel in the film Ice Age 3.

Where she is trying to get this acorn out from this ice cube.

Play Time

I thought it would be nice to have some
fun time together with Nessie, even
though I am not sure if she actually
deserves any, after biting my finger
off the other day. But I guess we
kissed & made up.

I made some cheerful games for
& her to play with &
lets say she definitely had fun!
