Halloween Highlights...

Even though Halloween has gone, and another month closer
to December. I just want to show you the creepy delights that I
had made over the past weekend, whilst Nessie was busy
sleeping in her little burrow...

As you can see below, the first thing I started off with was making some fresh worms...

These worms look tasty enough to eat!!

Don't worry, these are safe enough to eat and looked realistic too. All it consisted off was long frankfurters cut into long thin stripes and boil in hot water for a few mins until the frankfurters start to curl and thats when you need to take them out of the hot water and leave to drain off the excess water.

The next thing was Dragon's Eyes....

These little beauties were a hit that night, (Excuse the plates, I could only use what I could find that night!)

Anyways, these were boiled eggs cut in half and the yolfs removed into a bowl and mixed with mayonaise, cayenne pepper and a bit chilli powder and stuffed back into the eggs and a drizzle of marmite for the bleeding eye effects.

Next, Nessie's favourite...

Sweet & cheese teeths!!

These consists of apple slices, thinly sliced with cubes of medium cheddar between each apple pieces.

Don't they look smiley in that photograph??

Next up, was Mr Spider...

Yes, he was real and lurking around my living room.

Quite creepy looking doesn't he??

Here's Mr Ronan the Rat. He just comes and goes these days, so you might see him lurking around in my house now and then.

Oooo and these Bat Wings are marinated in BBQ sauce and baked in the oven for 30 mins.

And finally the sweet treat. You didn't think I will miss that one, did you??

I had made a lovely chocolate spider cake...

Not literally a spider hehe! However to achieve that design on the cake was to cover the entire cake with melted chocolate and whilst the chocolate was still warm, Imixed some Icing sugar and warm together to create a smooth batter and poured it in a circle on the cake. Then using a knife I drew some lines from the centre to the outter ring of the cake to create the spider design.

So, as you can see, I had a fabulous Halloween evening and watched a few horror movies in the night.

Yummy!!

Later on in the evening, I went to see how Nessie was....

Looks like she just got up actually, good timing!

Because I found a lovely snack bar treat for her to munch on...

She tucked in right away....

I think she enjoyed it.

Did you have a good halloween???

Halloween Photos....

It has been an very fun Halloween,
last weekend & I have taken lots of
photos of the food, Nessie & CAKE!!

I love making cake as well as eating it.

These are Halloween Cauldron mini cakes. It was great fun decorating, these little fairy cakes. Took ages to decorate, but it was worth it!

Then I decided to make some Hamster Halloween Treats and ended up making a 'Bat Biscuit' for Nessie.

Here she is, munching on an upside down Bat. Looks like she's enjoying it!

Another pounching session, get ready in watching those cheeks getting filled up with biscuit!

"Nibble, nibble...." said Nessie

"Next time, I'll make loads more" told Myst

*Too busy to listen* .....

And, wait for it......my Cake time!!

Dracula Cake!! Yippee! I love eating cake!!

"Tasty!" said Myst

"Shame, Nessie can't have any"

"Oh well, more for me to eat!" laughed Myst

Happy Halloween!

Another year of spooky Halloween
& Nessie wanted to say a Big
Happy Halloween to you all!

"Happy Halloween all!" said Nessie

"Are you going to dress up as anything Nessie? asked Myst

"Ummm....." whimpered Nessie

"Yes, I am actually. Let me go and find it first...." answered Nessie, with a hint of surprise on her small face.

"Don't look yet..."

"Okay" said Myst

"Okay, I'm back! How do I look?" said Nessie

"Well, erw you look like the same as I last saw you?" replied Myst

"Don't you think it makes me look great!" smiled Nessie

"Umm...Yes, I think so. What are you dressed up as, if you don't mind me asking?" asked Myst, with a confused look.

"A Hamster, of course!" replied Nessie

"Oh!! Well it sure looks realistic." grinned Myst
