Happy Birthday!....

Yesterday was my birthday and another day older. And for my birthday, I had a really beautiful cake...

An edible Nessie cake...

(Shh!...Don't tell her that I will eat her?)

Anyways, once the cake was out, someone else came out to see what was going on...

She looks so tiny here, lol!...

"Hey, will I get any cake?" said Nessie

'Mmm..not sure if you can eat that. But I got something else you can have up my sleeve" ...

"What's that?" wondered Nessie, with a confused look on her little face.

"I can't see anything under sleeves, because your wearing short sleeves!" gasped Nessie

'Well, aren't you a clever one?" ...

So, I made her some lovely heart cookies treats...

Don't they look yummy??

'Where is it? I'm starving!' mumbled Nessie

A Note to Fans From Bill Condon...

Greetings Twihards, Twifans, Twilight Moms, Team Edward, Team Jacob and Team Switzerland,

I just want to say hello to all of you and let you know that I'm stoked to be getting underway on the adventure of making BREAKING DAWN. As you've probably heard, I've been given a very warm welcome by Stephenie and Team Summit - who are super-focused, as you know, on getting these movies right.

I'm pretty busy bringing myself up to speed on what you already know by heart: I've read BREAKING DAWN twice, rewatched Catherine's and Chris's movies 2-3 times each, have all four CDs playing in my car, and have Catherine's notebook, Mark Cotta Vaz's companion books, and even Volume 1 of the graphic novel here on my desk - a corner of my office is starting to look like Hot Topic. I realize that this barely qualifies me for "newborn" status in the universe you've been living inside for a few years now, but a guy's gotta start somewhere.

Like many of you, I've always been slightly obsessed with vampires, dating back to the prime-time series DARK SHADOWS, which I followed avidly as a kid. But that alone hadn't been enough to get me interested in making a vampire movie, even though my early screenwriting and directing efforts grew out of a great love for horror movies and thrillers. Since making GODS AND MONSTERS thirteen years ago, however, I've been yearning for a return to a story with Gothic overtones.

The wonderful world that Stephenie has created has obviously struck a chord with you, and I don't think it's difficult to see why. For me, her characters are simultaneously timeless, yet very modern. Rooted in a beautiful, real landscape with a great sense of place, Bella, Edward, Jacob, and the rest of the Forks/La Push menagerie, experience emotions that are primal, and universal: desire, despair, jealousy - and it all comes to fruition in BREAKING DAWN. This is a final chapter in the best sense; not just wide in scope and scale, but emotionally charged and intense throughout.

I'm a huge admirer of the already-iconic Kristen, Robert, and Taylor, and wanted to be the one to work with them as they face the challenges of bringing your beloved characters to the end of their journeys. Really, what could be more fun than that?

Please feel free to ask questions in the comments section below, and I'll do my best to answer them. I hope that this will be the first of many occasions I'll get to check in with you as we set to work bringing BREAKING DAWN to the screen. I am excited and grateful to have all of you alongside me for my TWILIGHT journey.

All best,

Bill Condon

Chewing...

Nessie enjoys chewing a lot these days, either its biting on paper (As you can see from below) to chewing on clothy type of material, such as clothes, etc...

So, I decided to give her a few pieces of white paper to munch on, so she can use for bedding or what ever...

Look at her!

Seems like she's enjoying biting on that paper...

*cough cough*

Lol, seems she having a bit too much fun...

I wonder if she's creating something arty with her paper...??

Anyways, I decided to give her a few minutes to enjoy...

So, let's leave her at it...

Ginger cake 2010

This sticky ginger bread will taste even better if you can cook it a few days – or up to a week – in advance, then store in an airtight container.

•Vegetarian

Preparation time : 10 minutes

Cooking time : 35 minutes to 40 minutes

Serves: 16

Ingredients

100g light muscovado sugar

100g butter, cut into cubes

150g Tate and Lyle Black Treacle

150g Tate and Lyle Golden Syrup

250g plain flour

2 tsp ground ginger

1 tsp mixed spice

1 tsp bicarbonate of soda

2 Columbian Blacktail eggs, beaten

150g Cooks’ Ingredients Crystallised Stem Ginger, sliced

Method

1.Preheat the oven to 170°C, gas mark 3. Grease and line the sides and base of a 20cm square cake tin with baking parchment.

2.Melt together the sugar, butter, treacle and syrup in a pan over a gentle heat. Once combined, remove from the heat. Meanwhile, sieve the flour with the ginger, mixed spice and bicarbonate of soda into a large mixing bowl. Make a well in the centre and gradually stir in the warm syrup mixture until well combined and smooth. Beat in the eggs and pour the mixture into the prepared cake tin. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, until just firm to the touch. Remove from the oven and scatter with the sliced stem ginger, then leave to cool completely in the tin. (It will sink in the middle as it cools. If some of the ginger slips off, serve separately with each slice.)

3.Remove from the tin and cut into pieces. Store in an airtight tin for 1-2 days (or up to a week, if you can wait that long!) before serving.

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter break!...

I hope you all had a great Easter holidays.

Nessie has been busy lately,
she's discovered that a piece
of toliet tube can be so much
fun!!

'Ooo, look at that!' scrambled Nessie

'What you found?'

'This bit could be useful' mumbled Nessie

Looks like she's making something creative. Let me ask her...

Are you making your own version of an extension tube??

*Bite bite*

She's too busy to answer...

'I'm going to be on Blue Peter one day' said Nessie

'Right, I finished! What do you think?' said Nessie, with a big grin on her little face.

Well... its looks interesting. Is it a extra homemade tube extention for your other house?

'.........no. It's a new chew toy that I had made' frowned Nessie

Ohhh... interesting.
